Diabetic Eye Examinations

Regular eye examinations are vital for people with diabetes to detect Diabetic Retinopathy or Diabetic Macular Edema which are the sight threatening complications of diabetes. These problems are detected by looking at the retina either directly or with a camera. We photograph the retinas of all patients with diabetes and report on the condition of their eyes to their GP. We will provide advice on when you need to be reviewed again, or if serious complications are present, we will arrange treatment from the best ophthalmologists.
